Relic

This painting depicts a banquet held by the Governor of Pyeongan on the Daedong River. On the river, centered around the boat carrying the governor, an ensemble of musicians and official vessels are lined up, followed by boats carrying official gisaeng (female entertainers), boats preparing food, and small boats carrying scholar-officials and clerks. On the riverbank, people hold torches, and welcoming banners are raised at every household throughout the town within the city walls. The painting captures the lavish splendor of a banquet held in Pyongyang.
