Concept

This set of three face towels is inspired by the ten-panel folding screen Ten Symbols of Longevity housed at the National Museum of Korea.

Features

The towels are made from 40 thread count combed cotton and embroidered with ten symbols of longevity. Combed cotton fibers are longer and less prone to breakage than regular cotton, providing a soft feel and subtle sheen. The combing process also removes the short fibers and impurities, ensuring the towels remain lint-free and resistant to pilling even after extended use. With their dense weave, these towels offer excellent absorbency. In addition, they are certified to the highest Oeko-Tex Standard 100 (Class 1), making them safe for use even by children under three years old. Hand-washing is recommended (wash separately), but if using a washing machine, select the wool cycle and use water below 40 degrees Celsius. Fraying is not considered a defect; due to the nature of the material, fraying may occur even with minimal friction. In such cases, simply trim the loose threads with scissors rather than pulling them out.

Relic

Wishes for a Long and Healthy Life Animate or inanimate objects that live long lives or stand unchanged served as popular  motifs for art as symbols of longevity. These included the sun, mountains, stream,  rocks, pine trees, clouds, tortoises, cranes, deer and Lingzhi mushrooms of immortality,  but they were not invariably depicted all together. This folding screen features two additional  motifs, bamboos and peaches, to provide a more abundant and colorful composition.  It is an outstanding piece of art that shows a high level of perfection.
