Concept

It could be that celadon was compared to a precious green flower by people during the Goryeo Dynasty.
The pride and love felt by people of the era for their beautiful celadon might have been beyond anything we could imagine. Celadon-inspired products have been developed in the hope that you, too, can enjoy Goryeo-era celadon—as green as jade and as radiant as crystal—in your daily life. It is hoped that the artistic creation that may have been cherished by the Goryeo people like green flowers will take on new and special meanings for us today.

Features

The Celadon Gallery at the National Museum of Korea is a prominent cultural space where you can appreciate the jade-green hues and diverse artistic forms of Goryeo celadon.
As you gaze at the celadon, you can feel a sense of positive energy emanating from the clear jade color, much like the sky. To share this beauty, we have designed a celadon keyring that features some of the inlaid designs found on Goryeo celadon, allowing you to decorate your personal items with this unique aesthetic. It is hoped that you can enjoy the beauty of celadon from the Goryeo Dynasty in your daily life through this everyday product capturing the charms of this treasured art form.

Notes

-There may be irregular seams since the finishing process is done by hand. Please note that this is not considered a defect.
-Due to the nature of stitching, there may be slight differences in size, embroidery placement, shape, and finishing quality.
-The unglazed bottom surface, small air bubbles in the clay, black spots from iron, and slight slope differences due to hand-finishing are all characteristic of the kiln-firing process.

Handling Guidelines

-Do not use for purposes other than those intended.
-Keep the product away from heat, flames, and sharp objects.
-If dirty, wipe gently with a soft cloth and allow it to air dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
-Avoid using washing machines or dryers, as they may cause deformation.
-Be cautious of color transfer when in contact with dark-colored clothing or accessories.

Relic

Designated as Treasure 1869 in 2015, this celadon maebyeong with a cloud and crane design was featured in The New National Treasures 2014-2016 (May 13-July 9, 2017), a special exhibition to introduce items that had recently been designated as “Treasures” or “National Treasures.” Of the fifty items featured at that exhibition, this maebyeong was the only celadon vessel. With its stately form and whimsical crane design, this vase exuded a unique beauty that radiated through the gallery, capturing the hearts of all who attended that exhibition
