Concept

It could be that celadon was compared to a precious green flower by people during the Goryeo Dynasty. The pride and love felt by people of the era for their beautiful celadon might have been beyond anything we could imagine. Celadon-inspired products have been developed in the hope that you, too, can enjoy Goryeo-era celadon - as green as jade and as radiant as crystal - in your daily life. It is hoped that the artistic creation that may have been cherished by the Goryeo people like green flowers will take on new and special meanings for us today.

Features

This limited-edition product was created through collaboration between MU:DS, the merchandise brand of the national museums of Korea, and Mujagi, a ceramic brand by the artist Shim Bo-geun. It was inspired by the celadon of the Goryeo Dynasty, which provides some of the most iconic items in the collection of the National Museum of Korea.

This set of celadon cups combines the refined aesthetics of Goryeo-era celadon with contemporary functionality. With a capacity of 50 ml, the cups are ideal for enjoying spirits or tea in the company of good food and conversation. Savor the beauty of Goryeo celadon in daily life through these lifestyle items with jade-green hues and refined aesthetic expression.

Notes

Please note the inherent characteristics of handmade ceramics. The following features are natural outcomes of the process of crafting ceramics and should not be considered defects:

- Subtle glaze flow marks can occur during the glazing process due to the handcrafted nature of the piece
- Minor variations in color, gloss, and surface texture can result from the firing process
- The bottom surface where the piece was in direct contact with the kiln shelf is unglazed
- Small air bubbles in the clay are produced during the firing process
- Black spots can result from the naturally occurring iron content in the clay and glaze
- Slight slope differences due to hand-finishing
